Supporters with Alan Kwadwo Kyeremanten and NPP flag bearer hopeful, Kennedy Agyapong in the Offinso North, Offinso south and Afigya Kwabere Constituencies in the Ashanti region have declared their support for Vice President Dr Mahammadu Bawumia.

Speaking at a news conference the spokesperson for the group who doubles as the Offinso North Constituency Vice Chairman, Dauda Afriyie said “although they believed in the brand Alan Kyerematen vision for Ghana, however, Alan’s resignation from the NPP ahead of the November 4th 2023 presidential primaries has compel them to work and vote for a credible candidate who is equally competent to lead NPP and Ghana’’.

He described Alan’s resignation as shocking “I was shocked when I heard the resignation by Alan from the NPP. That’s past now and I have moved on. I was responsible for coordination of his campaign activities in 15 constituencies. I was earlier invited to work for Kennedy Ohene Agyapong but I declined to join the winning team.  We are very few here now but trust me there are a lot of people I’m bringing to the camp of Dr. Bawumia from Alan’s Camp within the NPP.’’

He also called all supporters of Alan Kyerematen and Kennedy supporters to emulate their open support to Vice President Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia give him their support ahead of the 4th November election.

The New Patriotic Party supporters wearing Alan during the press conference remove the T-shirts they were wearing and show to the cameras Dr. Bawumia’s campaign T-shirt confirming their complete defection for their old camp.

Campaign activities by Kennedy Ohene Agyapong and Vice president Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia has been intensified across the region.

Kennedy Agyapong appears to be making a lot of impact at the grassroots threatening the vote target of Dr. Bawumia in the Ashanti region.

Second lady, Samiratu Bawumia is expected to begin a 3-day campaign tour in the Ashanti region from Monday October 16, 2023.

She is scheduled to meet regional executives, constituency executives, polling station executives, coordinators and party delegates.

The second lady’s campaign tour is expected to share more light on the need for the party delegates to consider her husband, Dr. Bawumia as the best candidate to the lead the NPP into elections 2024.
