Businessman Richard Jakpa, the third accused in the ongoing ambulance case, has finally spoken out following his allegations against Attorney General Godfred Yeboah Dame.
In an interview with EIB Network Legal Affairs Correspondent, Mr. Jakpa emphasized that he is committed to handling the matter through legal channels, dismissing the need for any direct confrontation with the Attorney General.
“There’s no need for face-to-face. We are doing everything in court. My lawyers will deal with it,” Jakpa stated firmly adding that “The game is about evidence, that’s all.”
According to him, since the controversial tape was out he has not met the Attorney General.
Addressing public speculation that he deliberately recorded his conversation with the Attorney General to entrap him, Mr. Jakpa dismissed such notions as mere opinions. “That is their opinion,” he said.
Despite the public attention and scrutiny, Mr. Jakpa says he remains focused on the legal proceedings. “I’m focusing in court. That’s what I’m supposed to be doing,” he stated.
He added that he acknowledges the importance of evidence in his case and remained confident in his legal strategy.
When asked about concerns for his security, Mr. Jakpa stated who has a background in security, appeared unfazed. “I’m a gorilla in the jungle, so I’m not worried about the jungle business,” he said.
He warned that potential threats to approach him professionally, suggesting that any amateur attempts would be futile.
