The Minister for Sports and Recreation, Kofi Iddi Adams, has thrown his support behind the upcoming GHOne TV Alumni Power Games, set to take place on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at the El-Wak Sports Stadium.
Speaking ahead of the event, the Minister commended GHOne TV, describing the initiative as a major platform for unity and competition.

“We promised so many things will happen in 2026, but how it was going to happen, we didn’t know. GHOne has come up with something great, bringing the best of the best together,” he said.
He noted that the event is expected to attract top schools, including Bishop Herman College, while expressing confidence in their chances of winning the games.
“I know that the best will be there, Bishop Herman is going to be there, and all the rest will partake, but we[Bishop Herman] will win,” he stated.
Mr. Kofi Adams also used the opportunity to invite other schools and supporters to attend the event in large numbers. “So please step out there, all the other schools, please be present at the El-Wak Stadium,” he urged.

On security, the Minister assured participants and spectators of safety, indicating that adequate measures have been put in place. “The military is available to give all of us the protection,” he added.
The GHOne TV Alumni Power Games, scheduled from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., will bring together alumni from various schools across the country for a day of competitive sporting activities.
It will feature track events and team-based competitions aimed at promoting unity and healthy rivalry among alumni groups. The expanded participation is expected to strengthen competition while providing a platform for former students to reconnect and represent their alma maters.
There will also include free health screening and other activities designed to engage participants and attendees throughout the day.
