The Twifo Praso Magistrate has remanded into Prison custody two of the NPP youth that interrupted an assembly sitting at the Twifo Hemang Lower District Assembly in the Central region.
The youth numbering over 80 interrupted the assembly sitting and subjected some assembly members and staff to severe beating on the account that the assembly and the Member of Parliament for the area Bright Wereko Brobbey had side stepped them to give available jobs to supporters of the opposition National Democratic Congress.
The two; Kwabena Oteng ,26 and Kwesi Mensah, 28, who were part of the demonstrators are again being held for breaking into the store of the assembly and making away with some items .
They have been charged with stealing and unlawful entry.
They have since been sent to the Ankaful Prisons.
The police are again on a man hunt for the other members of the NPP youth who invaded the assembly.
Meanwhile, the assembly member for the area, Kofi Senya, has appealed to the authorities in the area to pardon the youth for their wrong action as their continuous detention in prison custody will deepen the already volatile security situation in the area.
He, however, urged the youth to refrain from such negative acts as they would not go unpunished when caught.
