Ghanaian diplomat, policy strategist, and entrepreneur, Edmond Boateng, has been elected as the new Secretary of the Honorary Consular Corps of Ghana, marking a significant development in the leadership of the country’s diplomatic and consular community.
Edmond Boateng’s election signals a renewed focus on institutional efficiency, strategic coordination, and enhanced engagement between Ghana and its international partners through the Corps.
With nearly three decades of experience spanning diplomacy, public policy, and international business development, he brings extensive expertise and a strong track record in advancing cross-border partnerships. He currently serves as Founder of the Evimeria Group and President of the EkB Foundation, institutions known for fostering economic cooperation and community-driven initiatives.
As Secretary, Edmond Boateng will play a central role in the administration and coordination of the Corps. His responsibilities include overseeing the Secretariat, organising administrative functions, supervising the implementation of programmes, maintaining official records, and supporting the preparation of annual reports and communications to members.
Speaking after his election, he emphasised the importance of strengthening collaboration within the Corps and enhancing its contribution to Ghana’s diplomatic and economic agenda.

“The Honorary Consular Corps remains a vital bridge between Ghana and the international community. My focus will be on improving coordination, communication, and visibility of the impactful work being done by members across various jurisdictions,” he said.
Boateng is also expected to leverage the position to promote stronger institutional linkages between foreign missions, government agencies, and private sector actors, while reinforcing Ghana’s standing as a hub for diplomacy and international cooperation in West Africa.
