Reports have emerged that renowned Ghanaian gospel artist, Yaw Sarpong, has passed away on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, after battling a long-term illness.
Sources indicate that his health had been fragile in recent years, following complications from a stroke.
His passing comes shortly after the death of his longtime backing vocalist, Maame Tiwaa, who died on December 7, 2025.
