Ghanaian player Samuel Inkoom has expressed his disgust and dissatisfaction over the recent happenings in Ukraine after Russia’s invasion ten days ago.
The former U-20 world cup winner who played in Ukraine for three years with FC Dnipro revealed that the people of Ukraine are a lovely people who love football and feels very sad with the current unrest and distress in the country.
“I have been following the happenings in Ukraine keenly and its soo sad seeing what is happening there now, I feel very sad and emotional whenever i speak about it. Innocent people are been killed everyday, let me stop talking about it before i get too emotional” Samuel Inkoom said on Starr FM.
Inkoom called on world leaders to intervene to save the unfortunate killing of innocent civilians in Ukraine in an exclusive interview with Benjamin Yamoah on Footie Fanatics on Starr FM.
“I think World leaders have to put measures in place to help bring this invasion to an end quickly so it doesn’t escalate into a third world war”.
Samuel Inkoom was a key member of the Ghana U-20 team that conquered the world at the 2009 FIFA U-20 World Cup.
