Accra Great Olympics have named Swedish trainer Tom Strand as the club’s new head coach for an undisclosed number years
The former Medeama SC gaffer takes over from Godwin Attram who will now occupy the assistant coach position while featuring for the side in the ongoing 2016/17 Ghana Premier League.
The FA Cup winner left Ghana last year under bizarre circumstances during the club’s campaign in the CAF Confederation Cup.
Strand is expected to lead the ‘Dade’ boys against WA All Stars in a rescheduled game on Thursday at the WA Park.
After nine matches Olympic are placed 12th with 10 points and Strand is expected to survive the club in the elite league in the remaining matches.
