Former Assin Central Member of Parliament (MP), and business mogul, Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, has been touted as the right person needed to transform the fortunes of the country.
Speaking on Kasapa FM’s Morning Show, ‘Ghana Kasa’ on October 2, 2025, private legal practitioner, Lawyer Kobby Amoah stated that the business mogul has the right leadership skills and acumen to lead Ghana to attain greater heights and hence ought to be offered the opportunity.
In acknowledging the qualities of Kennedy Agyapong, who is seeking to become the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) flagbearer for the 2028 elections, Lawyer Kobby Amoah drew a comparison with Burkinabè leader Ibrahim Traoré, highlighting how military leaders are often admired for their discipline. He recalled that Traoré became the toast of many Ghanaians during his visit to the country.
“Of the 23 heads of state who attended President Mahama’s inauguration, it was the Burkinabè military leader, Ibrahim Traoré, who drew the most admiration. Almost everyone seemed to forget about the excesses of military rule and hailed him,” he recounted.

Lawyer Amoah, however, added that Ghanaians are fortunate not to rely on military rule for disciplined leadership since the country has Kennedy Agyapong – a democratic leader who, he said, equally embodies discipline.
“Fortunately for us as Ghanaians, we have a democratic leader who does not condone any form of indiscipline, and that person is Kennedy Agyapong,” he stated.
“Of the 23 heads of states who attended President Mahama’s inauguration, it was the Burkinabe military leader, Burkinabè Ibrahim Traoré, who became the toast of people at the event.
The successes of Ken Agyapong’s businesses, Lawyer Amoah added, are testaments to the leadership skills of Ken Agyapong.
Ken Agyapong is seeking to lead the NPP into the 2028 elections as its flagbearer.
He has since been touring the country to garner support from delegates of the party ahead of the January 2026 presidential primaries of the party.
