Condemn and sanction ‘indiscipline’ Abronye if you’re man enough – Bawumia challenged

Former Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has been challenged to openly condemn the actions of Bono Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kwame Baffoe, also known as Abronye DC to show he does not condone indiscipline in any form in the party.

The Regional Chairman of the main opposition political party has come under intense criticisms lately following his comment in a leaked video that he will delete the names of some delegates from the party’s voting album ahead of January 2026 primaries.

The action of the vociferous regional chairman of the party is geared towards disenfranchising some delegates of the party in the region who are believed to be against the candidature of Dr Bawumia.

The alarming comment has since attracted widespread condemnation from the rank and file of the party.

The General Secretary of the party, Lawyer Justin Kodua Frimpong, has formally lodged a petition with the party’s National Disciplinary Committee for investigation.

Commenting on this on Kasapa FM’s Morning Show, ‘Ghana Kasa’, an aide to Kennedy Agyapong, Lawyer Kobby Amoah said it would be appropriate that the former Vice President who is also a forerunner in the party’s Presidential primaries condemns the actions of Kwame Baffoe publicly.

According to him, the public condemnation of Abronye’s disgraceful actions and outbursts by Dr. Bawumia is necessary since he, Dr Bawumia, is the indirect beneficiary of Abronye’s outburst.

“It will also help show that he is man enough and one that is bold at taking decisions…,” he told Sonto, the host.

Lawyer Amoah continued that Dr. Bawumia must learn from the likes of Kennedy Agyapong, who demonstrated that he abhors indiscipline by sacking the likes of Kwaku Annan, a journalist from Net 2 TV for attacking his political opponents unnecessarily.
