President John Dramani Mahama has inaugurated a 12-member Presidential Advisory Group on the Economy (PAGE) to provide expert guidance on Ghana’s economic policies and strategies.
Speaking at Jubilee House, President Mahama expressed his gratitude to the appointees for offering their time and expertise.
“Your willingness to contribute your time, experience, and intellect to the national cause reflects a deep commitment to public service and to the future of our republic,” he said.
He emphasized the group’s mandate, noting that members are expected to provide strategic counsel on key economic areas.

“You are expected to provide strategic counsel on macroeconomic management, fiscal consolidation, debt sustainability, and the coherence between fiscal and monetary policy. You are to advise on structural transformation, industrial development, competitiveness, and export-led growth strategies,” Mahama added.
The advisory group includes prominent figures from government, academia, and the private sector.
They are, Dr. Henry A. Kofi Wampah, former Governor of the Bank of Ghana; Togbe Afede XIV, economist and private sector leader; Ms Abena Amoah, Chief Executive Officer, Ghana Stock Exchange; Prof. Priscilla Twumasi Baffour, University Professor and Academic Researcher; and Prof. Patience Aseweh Abor, Ph.D., University Professor and Academic Researcher.

The rest are Ishmael Yamson, private sector leader and former member of PAGE; Nana Oye Mansa Yeboaa, former Deputy Minister of Finance, Deputy Minister for Trade and Industry and former member of PAGE; Dr. Kwabena Duffuor, Economist, former Governor of the Bank of Ghana and former Minister for Finance and Ato Brown, former World Bank Infrastructure Specialist and Agribusiness Investor.

These appointments bring together former central bankers, ministers, private sector leaders, and academic researchers to advise the presidency on the nation’s economic development priorities.
