The Ghana Police Service at Dansoman has arrested a woman for allegedly stealing a newborn baby at the Mamprobi Polyclinic on Tuesday, February 15, 2026.
The infant, born on Valentine’s Day, was later rescued and safely reunited with the mother at the Dansoman Police Station.
Investigations into the incident are ongoing, as authorities work to establish the full circumstances surrounding the alleged abduction.
In a separate development, the Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection presented the family with an undisclosed sum of money and essential baby supplies.
Gender Minister Dr. Naa Momo Lartey personally oversaw the reunion and assured the family of the government’s commitment to child protection.
