Okada Riders Association has lauded former President John Mahama for his consistency to decriminalize and regulate their work when he wins the 2024 Election.
“Notwithstanding this act of integrity and responsible leadership qualities, we want to plead with the good people of Ghana, especially stakeholders of our transport industry, to help us thank His Excellency John Mahama.
“Also, the latest good news we are still celebrating is the pledge made by His Excellency John Dramani Mahama to help us with the acquisition and use of electricity-powered motorbikes and tricycles in place of the fuel-powered bikes in the system today,” Head of the Association’s Communication Bureau, Akpanaba Solomon stated.

The OKADA RIDERS ASSOCIATION OF GHANA have noticed with emotional perplexity at the commitment and consistent boldness at which former president John Mahama keep his pledge to decriminalise and regulate our business (commercialisation of motor bikes and tricycles operations in Ghana.
Not withstanding this act of integrity and responsible leadership qualities, we want to plead with the good people of Ghana especially stakeholders of our transport industry, to help us thank his Excellency John Mahama.
Also, the latest good news we are still celebrating, is the pledge made by his Excellency John Dramani Mahama to help us with the acquisition and use of electricity powered motor bikes and tricycles in place of the fuel powered bikes in the system today.
As stated earlier, former president John Mahama has the truck record of aiding the importation of PRO POOR vehicles such as motor bikes and tricycles. For instance, the tricycle known as PRAGIA is called MAHAMA CAN DO among the people of bolgatanga. This, among other reasons, makes us believe every word of our former president concerning our job.
Lastly, we want Ghanaians to remember that our issue (Okada legalisation and regularisation is not just about an issue of livelihood, but also many other concerns such as national security, discipline, orderliness, social welfare ,transport, rectification of basic technical errors among others.
We want Ghanaians to understand that greater concerns of road users about our job is coursed by the state and that can only be corrected by the state, under the leadership of one who has the understanding and willingness to rectify it. That’s who we know his Excellency John Dramani Mahama to be.
