Member of Parliament for South Dayi, Rockson-Nelson Dafeamekpor, has revealed that Ghana’s Parliament will establish its own television and radio station by the end of 2025.
The MP disclosed the plan during a conversation about public engagement and transparency in governance with Bola Ray on StarrChat on Thursday, June 19.
He noted that the initiative is part of Parliament’s effort to connect more directly with Ghanaians and to fulfill its constitutional responsibilities more effectively.
“Parliament is about to get its TV and radio station by the end of the year,” he announced, explaining that they already use social media, so the TV and radio will further serve as a vehicle for Parliament to handle the mandates of the people in a more visible and accountable manner.

Dafeamekpor emphasized that in a maturing democracy like Ghana, there is a growing need for institutions like Parliament to communicate independently and regularly with the public.
According to him, these platforms will not only help citizens better understand the work of their elected representatives but also encourage greater civic participation.
