The prices of of water and electricity bills have been reduced following a quarterly tariff review by the Public Utilities Regulatory Commission.
Under the new adjustments, electricity tariffs have decreased by an average of 4.81%, while water tariffs have reduced by 3.06%.
According to PURC, the quarterly reviews track movements in indicators such as the Ghana Cedi to US dollar exchange rate, domestic inflation, electricity generation mix, and the cost of fuel.
The commission said the projected exchange rate used for the review was GH¢11.1931 to one US dollar, based on a three-month interbank average from December 2025 to February 2026. This represented a 6.78 per cent decline compared with the rate applied in the previous quarter.
