The Chief Executive Officer of the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly, Richard Ofori Agyemang, has pledged a $1,000 reward for each Asante Kotoko player on one condition, they must put five goals past Hearts of Oak in the 2025 President’s Cup clash.
The Porcupine Warriors are set to reignite their fierce rivalry with the Phobians on Sunday, July 6 at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Richard Ofori Agyemang, accompanied by Ashanti Regional Minister Frank Amoakohene, visited Asante Kotoko’s training grounds on Monday to offer words of encouragement and boost the team’s morale.
During the visit, the Kumasi Mayor pledged a $200 cash reward for each goal the players score against Hearts of Oak.
“We want you to give us five goals. Every goal you score, you will earn $200. We will bring the money to the Stadium. If you can score the five goals, you will earn $1,000. So, on Sunday, just make sure you beat Hearts of Oak for us,” Richard Ofori Agyemang told the team.
The 2025 President’s Cup is set to kick off at 4:00 PM at the Accra Sports Stadium, with President John Dramani Mahama expected to be in attendance for the much-anticipated clash between Ghana’s two most decorated clubs.
