Second Ghana HR Innovation Awards Held

The second edition of the Ghana HR innovation Awards, an initiative of Instinct Wave has been held in Accra with public and private sector organizations taking home various awards from a wide range of categories.

Human Resource Managers, their team, as well as organizations as a whole were honored with plaques to celebrate their hard-work in the execution of human resource tasks in their various organizations.

The awards ceremony was under the theme: Celebrating excellence in the HR industry, and is aimed at celebrating leading human resource practitioners and organizations with topnotch HR models who have made sterling contributions to the corporate sector over the years.

MTN Ghana bagged the highest number of awards being seven including HR Innovation of the year Telecom, Outstanding Employee Retention Policy, Excellence in Employee engagement, employer of the year, HR team of the year Gold, and the HR personality of the year and top 20 HR leaders in Ghana going to its Human resource executive Amma Benneh-Amposah.

Goldfields Ghana and Barclays Bank Ghana took home four awards each including HR innovation of the year – mining, excellence in leadership development award, HR team of the year – silver, and one of the top 20 HR leaders for the vice president and head of human resource of west Africa Mr Francis Eduku, Barclays bagged HR innovation of the year – Bankig, HR team of the year – bronze, and HR professional of the year and one of the top 20 HR leaders awards going to its human resource director Mr William Easmon.

Guinness Ghana took away three awards which is the third highest including the excellence in Women Empowerment Strategy and HR Innovation of the Year: Alcoholic & Non-Alcoholic Beverage (Manufacturing) and the Woman HR Professional of the year going to its Human Resources Director Dr Hazel P. Berrard Amuah.

Other entities including the Social Security and National Insurance Trust, the Electricity company of Ghana, enterprise life, Ghana Exim Bank, Melcom Group, Goldfields Ghana and a host of others.

The Ghana Human Resources Innovation Awards is an annual celebration of leading human resource practitioners and organizations with topnotch HR models who have made sterling contributions to the corporate sector over the years.
