The Member of Parliament for Ellembelle, Emmanuel Armah Kofi Buah has charged his colleagues MPs to endeavor to invest in the progress of their constituents.
According to him, nurturing constituents is the best way to teach constituents how to fish instead of giving them fish.
Speaking after receiving 50,000 cedis from a group called Professionals for Nzema Development towards his bid to return to Parliament on the ticket of the NDC, Emmanuel Armah Kofi Buah disclosed he assisted members of the group in diverse ways in the past when most of them were students without expecting anything and thus was shocked by the gesture.
“When I knew some of them, they were young students and today they are all big professionals in the system. I feel very encouraged to be able to work as their representative and to see a day where all of them are working and as a group they’ve come to be that they are paying my 40,000 nomination fee plus filing fee.
“I mean, it speaks volumes of what they think of me and what we’ve been doing. It strengthens my colleagues who have just started to know that this is really something that we have to continue,” the Deputy Minority leader stated.
He continued: “Helping to transform young lives and I think it’s like you sow seed which you’ll reap one day. I listen to a lot of them and the impact they are making in their communities and that’s what it’s all about.”
Leader of the group Ishmael Kaku Amihere disclosed the gesture is to show appreciation for the impact the former Energy minister has had in the lives of members of the group and Nzemaland in general.
