Ghanaian TikToker Nanaba, widely known for his outspoken and often controversial posts, has been arrested, sparking widespread discussions online. Dr. Sophia Asi Ocansey, CEO of the S.O. Herbal Centre, has confirmed that she played a key role in his arrest due to his alleged involvement in fraudulent activities.
In a recent Instagram video, Dr. Sophia addressed the situation, explaining that her decision to report Nanaba to the authorities followed numerous complaints from individuals claiming they had been defrauded by the TikTok star. According to her, the victims, who claim to have lost large sums of money—some as much as $10,000 and $900,000—were lured into fraudulent schemes allegedly orchestrated by Nanaba.
“He defrauded people of large sums of money… The victims should reward me because I put in a lot of effort to get him arrested,” Dr. Sophia said, noting that despite Nanaba’s multiple apologies, he continued to defame her on social media. She expressed frustration over his baseless accusations, which included claims that her hospital was involved in ritual killings.
Nanaba, who has built a reputation for his brash criticism of public figures and organizations, is also accused of making personal and offensive comments about Dr. Sophia. She remarked that his arrest should serve as a warning to others who use social media to launch baseless attacks for personal gain.
Despite his arrest, Nanaba has yet to issue a public statement, leaving his millions of followers in suspense. Meanwhile, many social media users have expressed satisfaction with the news, noting Nanaba’s history of targeting public figures to boost his popularity.
