Women of Valour 2025 paints Paris with stories of courage, resilience

Paris, France – On the eve of International Women’s Day, a global call to action for empowering women and girls, Women of Valour 2025 illuminated the heart of Paris with an unforgettable celebration of courage, resilience, and ambition. Held at Le Cercle de l’Union Interalliée, the prestigious venue symbolized the event’s profound message—an unwavering commitment to breaking barriers and championing women’s empowerment.

Now in its third consecutive year, Women of Valour has grown into a movement, inspiring women from diverse backgrounds to embrace the Audacity of Courage—the central theme of this year’s event. Founder Nana Aba Anamoah, a celebrated media personality and communications consultant, masterfully curated a platform where the stories of five phenomenal women took center stage:

Chidimma Vanessa Onwe Adetshina – Miss Universe Nigeria / 1st Runner-up, Miss Universe / Miss Universe Africa and Oceania

Mami Gyamfua Yeboah – Founder and CEO, OH MY HAIR / Office & Co by SA

Shika Goka – Certified Etiquette Coach & Hospitality Consultant

Tucci Ivowi – CEO & Founding Member, Ghana Commodity Exchange

Anna Sherbinina – Luxury Real Estate Expert / Founder, AS Global Realty

In attendance was Guest of honor, Samia Badat-Karam, Deputy Mayor of Paris’ 16th Arrondissement and a member of the Paris Council.

One of the night’s most compelling sessions was Mami Gyamfua Yeboah’s talk on “After School, What Next?” She encouraged women to redefine failure, not as an endpoint, but as a stepping stone toward success:

“Failure is not the opposite of success—it’s a part of it. Think of success as something that brings you joy and fulfillment, rather than just personal achievement. It’s about impact.”

Her words set the tone for other speakers:

  • Shika Goka emphasized the importance of balance, urging men and women to recognize and complement each other’s strengths in modern society.
  • Tucci Ivowi shared her journey of resilience, showcasing how courage and excellence go hand in hand.
  • Anna Sherbinina delivered powerful insights on daring to take risks and stepping outside one’s comfort zone.
  • Chidimma Adetshina, reflecting on her own path, spoke about the power of knowing when to let go:

“I think that’s where my power truly began—learning to let go, no matter how I felt. That single decision led me to the global stage. Audacity knows no limits.”

Women of Valour 2025 was not just an event; it was a movement—a bold statement that courage, when embraced, can reshape the world.

As the night drew to a close, the words of French President Emmanuel Macron echoed in the hearts of many:

“Every day should be March 8th. Let us continue the fight together.”
