Accra Hearts of Oak defender, Vincent Atinga has been invited to join the Black Stars ‘B’ squad by the technical handlers ahead of the team’s second leg Championship of African Nations (CHAN) qualifier against Burkina Faso at the Baba Yara Stadium come Sunday.
The dependable defender will be joined by Kotoko’s defender Ahmed Adams and Elmina Sharks’ midfielder Emmanuel Ampiah.
According to assistant coach of the team, Maxwell Konadu his charges needs to work rigorously on the defense before facing the Stallions of Burkina Faso
“I think we don’t have to downplay the effort the Burkinabes, because the effort they into the game however I think they did very well and in my opinion when a team is down by 2 goals and they come back, then we also need to strengthen our set up very well especially the defense,” Konadu told Starr Sports.
The team arrived in Ghana on Sunday afternoon after securing a 2-2 draw with Burkina Faso in the first leg match played in Ouagadougou’s 8th August Stadium and will leave for Kumasi latter today to continue preparations.
