Atletico Madrid forward Antoine Griezmann has topped the Sky Sports La Liga Power Rankings this week.
Griezmann scored an 88th-minute matchwinner during a 2-1 win over Real Sociedad after team-mate Filipe Luis (No 11, up 109 places) levelled Willian Jose’s (No 15, down eight places) opener.
Barcelona only managed a 2-2 draw against Celta Vigo after Lionel Messi (No 7, up three places) and Luis Suarez (No 9, up 26 places) cancelled out goals from Iago Aspas (No 2, up 10 places) and Maxi Gomez (No 48, up 77 places)
Real Madrid were held to a 0-0 stalemate at Athletic Bilbao, with last week’s chart-topper Casemiro slipping four places to No 5 this week.
Alaves winger Ibai Gomez (No 3, up 158 places) hit a hat-trick during a 3-2 win at Girona, while Eibar’s Ivan Alejo (No 10, up 78 places) also entered the top 10 after scoring in a 3-1 win over Espanyol.
Daniel Parejo (No 6, up 10 places) was the only Valencia player among the top performers this week after Marcelino’s side suffered a 1-0 defeat at Getafe, scored by Markel Bergara (No 8, up 51 places).
