The Black Stars captain was rated among top National Team scorers in the World over the weekend when he placed ninth in the list of active footballers to have scored 50 international goals.
The Kayserispor marksman has netted 51 goals after being capped 105 times by Ghana, making him the country’s all-time goal scorer.
“You are a living Legend, you are blessed beyond measure, you are multi talented, and you are still active for God & Country. Nana Asamoah Gyan Mensah @asamoah_gyan3 may God Almighty continue to bless you in everything you doing” Anim Addo wrote.
Gyan is positioned ahead of ex-Manchester and Arsenal striker Robin Van Persie and former Liverpool forward Tim Cahill but 10 goals behind Messi.
Portugal and Real Madrid legend Cristiano Ronaldo is ranked 1st on the list with 81 goals.
The 31-year-old took to twitter to express his elation after stats went viral over the weekend, and thanked his former team-mates and coaches in helping him write his name in the echelons of world football.
