Six Police officers have been interdicted over the shooting that led to the killing of one person in Lamashegu in Tamale in the Northern region on Sunday.
A Police statement said a team of investigators has been dispatched to the area to further probe the development.
Background:
According to eyewitnesses, the chaos started after a police patrol team allegedly shot and killed a young man driving a white Toyota Camry with a DV number plate after he had refused to stop when the police stopped him.
He is said to have driven to the Chief for cover but was pursued there by the Police.
Subsequent shooting in the area of the Palace led to the injuries and the reported death.
