Vice President of the Ghana Football Association, Mark Addo says Ghana has not invested so much in it’s football to churn out world class players.
Speaking on Friday Night Football on Starr FM, Mark Addo said the Ghanaian football market can not produce top notch players compared to the European countries due to the fact that Ghana does not invest.
“You look at a football nation like Ghana and you ask yourself how much investment have we made at the junior level even to develop our players to become world class players. Compared to Germany, compared to France, compared to Brazil, comapred to England who are spoiled for choice because they start developing their players from 7 years old.” He said.
The Black Stars Management Committee Chairman also revealed that Ghana plays street football and does not focus on the principles and fundamentals of football.
“The other nations play the type of good fundamentals of the game, they understand the principles of the game. We play street football without the principles of the game. So our players play to a level and you realise the fundamentals are not there and that’s a fact.” He added.
