EIB network has partnered with Maxwell investments group to create awareness on issues concerning mental health through the “mental health show’’ which will be multifaceted with real life stories and specialists to offer viable information to the public.
According to the world health organization, nearly 3.1 million Ghanaians, representing 10 percent of the estimated 31 million population have one form of mental disorder or another.
However, information and awareness on mental health is still low.
To help address this issue, EIB Network and Maxwell investments group have partnered to launch the mental health show which seeks to highlight mental health in Ghana.
Maxwell Investments Group is a trade and investments firm with particular interest in agricultural trade. The chief executive, Maxwell Ampong said the idea was born out of his interaction with farmers.
“Most of the farmers we interact with have one point or the other gone through some mental health breakdowns but where and how to seek help is an issue. This is where EIB comes in. They have helped us tremendously in putting together the production. Our goal is to have a fair representation of everyone in Ghana.”
Chief executive officer for EIB network, Nathan Kwabena Adisi expressed delight at the partnership and assured MIG of EIB’s commitment to providing lucrative avenues of reaching the audience with the right message.
“this is a wonderful opportunity for both companies. We are already highlighting mental health through our reports. This is another step we can explore. EIB network will ensure the right message gets to the audience.”
