The Ultimate FM family is grieving the loss of one of its strongest pillars, Julius Caesar Anadem, whose dedication and leadership made him the backbone of the station. His passing has left a deep void, with colleagues and industry peers struggling to come to terms with the loss of a man they describe as the “shoulder that carried everybody.”
In an interview to Starr News, Ultimate FM’s Events, Brands, and Marketing Manager, Nana Benyin Anumel, paid tribute to the late broadcaster, highlighting his selflessness and impact. “Caesar is a pillar. He carries everybody’s troubles, sometimes even before they tell him. He fights for everyone. If you ask around, people will tell you how good he was as a colleague. All we can say now is, may the Lord grant him peaceful rest,” Anumel said.
The final funeral rites for Julius Caesar Anadem will be held on Friday, March 1, 2024. His laying-in-state will take place at the Adumtea Catholic Charismatic Renewal Center, located within the premises of Boku Arishinia High School, from 4 a.m. to 8 a.m. This will be followed by a burial service, after which he will be laid to rest at the Temple Royal Cemetery.
Mourners will then gather at Riggs Park, near Officer Smith in Kumasi’s Degnami locality, for the final funeral rites. A Thanksgiving service will follow on Saturday, March 2, at the Adumtea Catholic Charismatic Renewal Center, with another gathering at Riggs Park in the afternoon.
Anumel expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support from Kumasi’s media industry. “Every radio and TV station in Kumasi is talking about him. The love shown is incredible, and we are truly grateful,” he said.
Julius Caesar Anadem was more than just a radio presenter, he was the heart of Ultimate FM. Whether in the office or on air, he was known for his energy, passion, and unwavering support for his colleagues.
“Even when things seemed impossible, he would say, ‘Chale, let’s go! We can do it.’ He was the life of our office gatherings,” Anumel recalled.
In his final conversation with Caesar the night before his passing, Anumel shared an eerie memory. “We spoke about a new DJ I introduced to him. Then, out of nowhere, he started talking about health, saying, ‘Chale, you guys have to take care of your health.’ Looking back, it felt like he was telling me he was leaving,” he said.
As Ultimate FM and the Kumasi media fraternity prepare to say their final goodbyes, Julius Caesar Anadem’s legacy of kindness, leadership, and dedication will live on in the hearts of those he inspired.
