Embattled former Director General of the National Sigbals Bureau, Kwabena Adu-Boahene and his wife Angela Adjei Boateng both arrive at the High Court in handcuffs pending the hearing of their bail application
The legal team representing former National Signal Bureau (NSB) Director Kwabena Adu-Boahene and his wife, Angela Adjei Boateng, has strongly criticized Attorney General Dr. Dominic Akuritinga Ayine, accusing him of violating their clients’ fundamental human rights and prejudicing the legal process.
In a statement released by Zoe, Akyea & Co. on March 24, 2025, the lawyers alleged that the Attorney General unfairly pronounced their clients guilty in the “court of public opinion” during a press conference, despite an ongoing investigation by the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO). The statement described this move as an attempt to “poison” public perception against Adu-Boahene and his wife.
“The Learned Attorney-General has been a distinguished lecturer of law, and we cannot fathom why he would use the power of the press rather than his advocacy at the Bar to feed the general public with his prejudicial and skewed information,” the statement read.
