Chief Communications Officer of QI Group, Ramya Chandrasekaran, says QNET’s fight against fraud is driven by a desire to protect innocent victims rather than merely defend the company’s reputation.
Speaking at a joint press conference with Ghana’s Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) on Tuesday, July 15, Ms Chandrasekaran described the collaboration as a bold step to combat job scams, human trafficking, and criminal networks operating under the guise of QNET.
“We do not want to be remembered as a company that fought to protect its brand. We want to be remembered as a company that fought to protect people,” she said.
She recounted emotional stories from her five visits to Ghana over the past two years, where she met individuals who had lost their life savings, been trafficked, or misled into illegal migration through scams carried out in QNET’s name.
“Every time I come here, I hear stories of people who have been exploited. The people behind these scams are destroying lives,” she stated.
The partnership with EOCO, she said, will enhance public education, intensify investigations, and offer stronger protection to communities vulnerable to fraud.
“With EOCO’s reach and our commitment to transparency and education, we now have the collective strength to take this fight to the next level,” she noted.
The collaboration will include sensitisation roadshows, media campaigns, and intelligence sharing. QNET also pledged to continue its financial literacy efforts across Ghana, especially in high-risk communities.

Ms Chandrasekaran emphasised that criminals who exploit QNET’s name are not just damaging a brand but “separating families and pushing people into forced labour.”
She concluded with a strong commitment: “As long as criminals continue to misuse our name to harm innocent people, we will not stop fighting.”
