The Ministry of Finance is calling on Ghanaians to share their ideas and suggestions for the country’s next budget, covering the period 2026–2029.
The statement, released on Friday, said the contributions will help shape the Budget Statement and Economic Policy, which is expected to be presented to Parliament by November 15, 2025.
According to the ministry, the move is part of government’s commitment to inclusive and responsive governance, ensuring that citizens, civil society groups, professional bodies, and other stakeholders have a say in national budget planning.
It expressed appreciation to business associations, professional bodies, financial institutions, civil society organisations, faith-based organisations, and the general public for their contributions in past years.
“The Ministry has earnestly begun the process of developing the 2026-2029 Budget Statement and Economic Policy to be presented to Parliament by 15th November 2025 and therefore, requests for inputs from the general public for consideration into the 2026-2029 National Budget.”
Members of the public are encouraged to send their inputs via email to [bdru@mofep.gov.gh] (mailto:bdru@mofep.gov.gh) by close of business on Friday, August 29, 2025.
