The Ghana Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) has assured airline operators, aviation stakeholders, and the travelling public that air traffic services will continue without disruption, despite a proposed industrial action by the Ghana Air Traffic Safety Electronics Association (GhATSEA) scheduled for Thursday, October 30, 2025.
GhATSEA, in a statement issued yesterday, October 28, announced an indefinite industrial action beginning October 30. They cited years of unresolved staff grievances and management neglect at the Ghana Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA).

In response to the threat, the GCAA has activated a CNS/ATM Systems Contingency Plan to ensure operational continuity across the Accra Flight Information Region (FIR). The plan includes detailed operational procedures, designated response teams, and strong coordination mechanisms to maintain safe and reliable air navigation services for both domestic and international flights.
The Authority urged all stakeholders and passengers to remain calm and confident in the measures put in place, emphasising its commitment to upholding aviation safety and service integrity.

The GCAA also reiterated its focus on human capacity development and staff welfare while maintaining the highest standards of air navigation service delivery.
