Ghana is offering free visas to African participants attending the Diaspora Summit 2025, scheduled to take place from December 19 to 20 at the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC).
The initiative, announced by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, aims to encourage Africans and people of African descent to actively engage in discussions on fostering cooperation and building lasting partnerships.
Participants can obtain the free visa from the nearest Ghanaian Embassy, High Commission, or Consulate before traveling to Ghana.
The Ministry emphasized that this gesture is in the spirit of Pan-African solidarity and is intended to remove barriers to participation.
Online registration for the Summit closes on Monday, December 8, 2025, via the official website: www.diasporasummitghana.org.
In addition, nationals from several countries, including Barbados, South Africa, Kenya, Nigeria, Singapore, and Brazil (specific passport types), are exempt from visa requirements under existing agreements.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs encouraged all registered participants to proceed to Ghanaian missions abroad promptly to secure their visas and look forward to welcoming them to the Summit.
