Former Presidential hopeful, Boakye Agyarko, has cast his vote in the New Juaben South Constituency, describing the voting process as simple, smooth, and efficient.

Speaking to the media after voting, Mr. Agyarko said the process took him less than a minute to complete, expressing satisfaction with the system.

“As far as I can see, it is a very simple process. It didn’t take me even one minute to go through the entire system. So thank God, it’s been easy,” he noted.

He encouraged delegates who were yet to vote to do so early and avoid unnecessary delays.

“If you are listening to me in your home, don’t tarry thinking there is plenty of time. Come early, vote, and then let’s disperse and go to our various homes,” he advised.

Mr. Agyarko further appealed for calm and disciplined conduct throughout the process, stressing the need for unity within the party.

“I expect us to conduct ourselves at our best. No insults. I don’t expect us to descend into insults, casting of aspersions, and saying things that will not allow us to unite after this,” he said.

He reminded delegates that the party remains one family, regardless of individual preferences, and used a proverb to emphasize the reality of competition.

“The chief stool is not like a bundle of firewood, where two people can sit on simultaneously. It will admit only one,” he stated.

According to him, the outcome of the election must be accepted by all, urging party members to rally behind the eventual winner.

“This election will produce one winner at the end of the day, and we must all embrace that winner as declared,” he added.

Mr. Agyarko concluded by calling on party faithful to see the exercise as a preparatory step toward the bigger political contest ahead.

“This is just one battle. It’s preparation for the larger battle in 2028. If we don’t prepare well now and unite our strength, the one ahead of us will be much more difficult,” he warned.

He appealed to delegates to act in the best interest of the party and the nation as the process continues.
