Heath Goldfields Ltd. has held a strategic engagement with the Community Mine Consultative Committee (CMCC) to discuss a proposed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at promoting employment opportunities and community development.

The meeting, chaired by Nana Nteboa Pra IV, brought together community leaders, local stakeholders and company leadership for what was described as an open dialogue focused on trust, transparency and shared progress.

The Managing Director of Heath Goldfields said the initiative reflects the company’s commitment to responsible and inclusive mining practices.

“Sustainable mining is not just about resources; it is about people. This MoU reflects our commitment to creating real opportunities, listening to our communities and building a future of shared prosperity,” the Managing Director said.

The discussions covered issues including employment pathways, skills development and greater local participation in mining-related opportunities.

In his remarks, Nana Nteboa Pra IV emphasized the importance of accountability and the need for the company to honour its commitments to the host communities.

“We commend the company for this engagement and the spirit of collaboration demonstrated. It is our expectation that these commitments will be fully honoured, as this will further strengthen trust and deliver meaningful benefits to our communities,” he said.

Heath Goldfields said the engagement forms part of its broader effort to strengthen relationships with host communities while ensuring that mining activities contribute to sustainable development.

The company reiterated its commitment to enriching lives through sustainable gold mining by working closely with communities and stakeholders to deliver lasting impact.
