Parts of Accra have been plunged into a power outage following a fault in the network of the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG), affecting several communities across the Accra West Region.
In a notice issued on Monday, March 30, 2026, ECG explained that the disruption was due to a technical fault and assured residents that engineers were working to restore supply.
The affected areas include parts of Abossey Okai, the South Industrial Area, Dormalong, Metro Mass, Israel Park, Amasaman Market, 3 Junction, Abease, Doblo Gonnor, Obeyeyie, Oduntia, Afabeng, Otuaa, Adukofi, Attokrom, and surrounding communities.
ECG expressed regret over the inconvenience caused to residents and businesses, stating that its technical team was on standby to resolve the issue and restore power as soon as possible.
“Engineers are standing by to restore supply as soon as the challenge is resolved,” the company assured customers.
