Member of Parliament for Bolgatanga Central, Isaac Adongo, has commissioned a series of development projects in the Sumbrungu zone aimed at improving healthcare, education, water access and local infrastructure.

The projects, commissioned on 29 April 2026, include a maternity facility, a day care centre, boreholes, grinding mills and bridges, all intended to enhance living conditions across the area.

According to a statement issued by the Constituency Communication Office, the initiative forms part of efforts to deepen development at the grassroots level.

“On 29th April 2026, Isaac Adongo, Member of Parliament for Bolgatanga Central, officially commissioned a series of transformational initiatives designed to strengthen healthcare delivery, enhance educational opportunities, expand access to safe water, and improve key infrastructure across the Sumbrungu zone.”

The commissioned projects include the Anateem Maternity Block, Anateem Day Care Centre, seventeen (18) boreholes distributed across Kulbia, Azoribisi, Amogrebisi and Kolgo-Agusi wards, five grinding mills, and four bridges.

The boreholes are allocated as follows: ten for Kulbia Ward, four for Azoribisi Ward, two for Amogrebisi Ward and two for Kolgo-Agusi Ward.

He also inspected several completed and ongoing projects, including the renovated Sumbrungu Nurses’ Quarters, refurbished Sumbrungu Police Station, and ongoing construction works at Kolgo-Agusi JHS and Azoribisi JHS.

The statement noted that the projects are expected to deliver broad community impact.

“These landmark projects demonstrates Isaac Adongo’s constinous dedication to advancing the welfare of his constituents through targeted, people-centred development.”

It further stated that the interventions aim to expand maternal healthcare, strengthen early childhood education, improve access to potable water, promote economic empowerment through grinding mills, and enhance mobility through bridge infrastructure.

“By commissioning and monitoring these interventions, Isaac Adongo continues to reaffirm his constinuous commitment to uplifting lives and fostering comprehensive development throughout the Sumbrungu zone and bolgatanga central as a whole.”
