District Chief Executive (DCE) for Ajumako Enyan Essiam, Hon. Andrews Kojo Duodu, has advised 2025 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) candidates in the district to steer clear of so-called apor (leaked examination materials), urging them instead to focus on their studies.

During a visit to several of the district’s eight examination centres, where a total of 2,836 candidates are sitting for this year’s exams, Hon. Duodu stressed that over-reliance on apor often leads to disappointment.

He encouraged the candidates to trust in their preparation and what they have been taught, assuring them that those efforts would reflect in the examination questions.

The district recorded 1,236 male candidates and 1,673 females sitting for the BECE this year.

To further support the students, the DCE donated over 3,000 mathematical sets to candidates across the district to aid them during the examination period.

The Ajumako Enyan Essiam District Education Director, Madam Sabina Aba Wilson, also encouraged the candidates to aim for academic excellence. She expressed optimism that with the preparations made by the district, the candidates would perform well and secure placement in top senior high schools.

The examination supervision forms part of efforts to boost morale among candidates and assure them of the district’s commitment to their education.
