Member of Parliament for Abetifi Constituency and leading member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr Bryan Acheampong, has issued a passionate appeal to party members to prioritise unity and discipline as the party seeks to reposition itself for the future.

In a statement dated Friday, June 13, 2025, Dr Acheampong noted that recent tensions within the party, especially on social media, have highlighted growing divisions and hostility that threaten the party’s cohesion. He cautioned that while passionate political discourse is natural, disunity serves only to weaken the NPP.

“What is required of us all, and in particular the leadership of the party, is to ensure that hope is restored; through unity of purpose, maturity in conduct, and discipline in our ranks,” he stated.

He called on party members from the grassroots to the top leadership to rise above internal factions and focus on their shared values and commitment to Ghana’s progress. “Now is the time to rise above factions and forge a new path built on collaboration, courage and credibility,” the statement added.

Dr Acheampong urged members to set aside personal differences and engage in constructive dialogue to build a stronger NPP. His message comes at a time when the party is working to rebuild and rebrand itself ahead of key political milestones.
