Building Bridges Across Borders: The CEO’s Hub Ghana Explores Strategic Partnership with the UK’s Black Business Entrepreneurs Conference

As businesses increasingly look beyond national borders for growth, collaboration, and innovation, The CEO’s Hub Ghana is positioning itself to strengthen international business relationships that can create new opportunities for Ghanaian entrepreneurs and enterprises.

In pursuit of this vision, the Director of Brands, Communication and Protocol at The CEO’s Hub Ghana, Mr. Ian Tabalor Okwei, recently engaged Dr. Carlton Brown, Founder of the UK Black Business Entrepreneurs Conference (BBEC), in discussions aimed at exploring a strategic partnership between the two organisations.

The engagement, held on 29 July 2026, forms part of The CEO’s Hub’s broader commitment to connecting Ghanaian businesses with international networks capable of driving entrepreneurship, investment, leadership development and economic growth.

During the discussions, Mr. Okwei expressed The CEO’s Hub’s appreciation for the opportunity to engage one of the United Kingdom’s foremost platforms dedicated to empowering Black entrepreneurs and business leaders. He noted that such collaborations have the potential to expand the global reach of Ghanaian businesses while creating valuable opportunities for learning, networking and cross-border partnerships.

Dr. Carlton Brown described the UK Black Business Entrepreneurs Conference as a platform intentionally created to bring together stakeholders from the public, private and third sectors. According to him, BBEC serves as a meeting point for entrepreneurs, founders, investors, financial institutions, policymakers, academics and corporate leaders to exchange ideas, build strategic partnerships and promote sustainable business development.

He explained that since its inception, the conference has evolved into one of the United Kingdom’s leading business platforms dedicated to advancing Black-owned enterprises through leadership, innovation, investment and collaboration. Over the years, BBEC has attracted distinguished speakers from business, government and academia, providing participants with practical insights and access to influential decision-makers.

Dr. Brown further noted that the conference continues to create networking, investment and business growth opportunities for entrepreneurs across the world, adding that Ghana presents significant prospects for collaboration through partnerships with institutions committed to enterprise development.

One of the notable highlights of this year’s conference was the participation of renowned Ghanaian business leader Sir Sam Jonah, whose transformational leadership of Ashanti Goldfields helped establish the company as a globally recognised multinational mining enterprise. His participation reflected the growing contribution of Ghanaian business leadership to international conversations on entrepreneurship and economic development.

The discussions between The CEO’s Hub Ghana and BBEC underscore the increasing importance of building international ecosystems that support entrepreneurship beyond national boundaries. As Ghana continues to strengthen its private sector and expand opportunities for small and medium-sized enterprises, strategic partnerships with established global platforms are expected to play an increasingly important role in enhancing competitiveness, attracting investment and fostering innovation.

For entrepreneurs, investors and policymakers alike, such collaborations represent more than institutional engagements. They reflect a shared commitment to creating environments where businesses can access knowledge, markets, capital and strategic relationships necessary for long-term growth.

Should the ongoing discussions culminate in a formal partnership, Ghanaian entrepreneurs and business leaders could gain greater access to one of the United Kingdom’s most influential entrepreneurial ecosystems, opening new pathways for collaboration, international networking and business expansion.

As global economies become increasingly interconnected, initiatives such as this demonstrate how purposeful partnerships can contribute to building stronger enterprises, expanding opportunities and advancing inclusive economic development across borders.
