Head coach of Ghana’s boxing team Black Bombers, Ofori Asare has called for support from government and corporate bodies as they prepare for the Commonwealth Games.
The multi-sport event will take place in Birmingham, UK from the 28th of July to 8th August, 2022, marking England’s third time of hosting the Commonwealth Games.
In an interview with Benjamin Yamoah on Sports Today on Starr FM, coach Ofori Asare called for support to harness the talent of the boxers ahead of the Games.
“We are calling for the necessary support from the corporate bodies and everybody because government cannot do it alone”.
“So we are expecting a lot of support. We need to harness the talents but making an extra effort (financially).” he said.
