The Stallion Group, an automobile, commodities, steel & mines, plastics & packaging company that trades in eight (8) top brands in Ghana such as Honda, Hyundai, Nissan, Porsche, Volkswagen, among others, has donated a state of the art Hyundai – H1 fully equipped ambulance to the Covid-19 National Trust Fund to support the efforts of the State aimed at stopping the spread of the novel Coronavirus, Covid-19 in Ghana.
The Regional Head of Finance for the Stallion Group in Ghana, Sameer H. Gupta, presented the ambulance at a brief ceremony at the forecourt of the offices of the Trust Fund at point six, Jubilee House, to the Chairperson of the Fund, Chief Justice retired, Sophia Akuffo.
Mr. Gupta ahead of handing over the keys noted that their organization decided to present the ambulance as a result of the call by President Akufo-Addo, for corporate organizations to partner the State in the fight against Covid-19 from spreading in the Ghanaian territory.
“We are doing our bit by contributing a fully equipped ambulance to help the cause of carrying patients and treating them as well. We hope this will help in a small way in the process of fighting Covid-19 in Ghana” Sameer Gupta said.
Justice (Rtd) Sophia Akuffo, on her part after receiving the keys to the Ambulance commended the stallion group for their thoughtfulness and kind gesture towards Ghana. She noted that the ambulance will certainly go a long way to support the fight against the deadly pandemic.
“Not only is it generous, it is also well conceived, very well thought of and very practical because there is a dire need for more ambulances and other forms of conveyances to convey the infected people and frontline workers and frontline doctors” the Chairperson of the Covid-19 National Trust Fund Justice (Rtd) Sophia Akuffo said.
The Hyundai – H1 Ambulance according to the Stallion group is worth Thirty Five Thousand United States Dollars ($35,000.00).
