A second year science student of the Koforidua Secondary Technical School has died after sneaking out of School on Saturday.
The deceased student reportedly died from heart attack after an entertainment programme.
The body of the deceased has been deposited at the morgue pending police investigation.
Information gathered by Starr News’ Eastern regional Correspondent Kojo Ansah, indicates that the deceased together with some colleagues sneaked out of the school hostel to attend an entertainment program at the Liberty Vocational Institute Saturday evening.
The students decided to spend the night with friends at GATECO Hostel instead of returning to their school.
According to information gathered, the deceased reportedly suffered severe heart attack around 2am Sunday which led to him vomiting blood.
His colleagues, however, failed to get a vehicle to transport the student to the hospital until around 5am when they finally rushed him to the Koforidua Regional Hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival.
The parents of the deceased rushed to the school Sunday from Akyem Oda after being informed of the situation by School authorities.
The school authorities are scheduled to hold an emergency meeting over the incident.
According to reports, Students of SECTEC are fond of sneaking out of School without exeat but School Authorities fail to punish them which is a worry to most teachers.
