Deontay Wilder claims Tyson Fury’s family do not want their eagerly anticipated re-match to go ahead amid fears over the British heavyweight’s safety.
Fury announced his return to boxing’s top table by securing a controversial draw against the unbeaten American back in December 2018.
Despite twice being sent crashing to the canvas, most experts and pundits felt he had comfortably outpointed Wilder.
Fury continued his incredible comeback story, wowing American audiences with his brashness and exuberance on his Las Vegas debut when he knocked out Tom Schwarz last month.
The 30-year-old is expected to fight once more before the end of the calendar year before locking horns with Wilder again, assuming the Bronze Bomber takes care of Luis Ortiz in November.
Wilder, however, believes Fury has no chance of causing another upset in any potential re-match and won’t be able to contend with his punching power.
