Ghana has confirmed its participation in the 2025 Open Government Partnership (OGP) Global Summit, scheduled to take place from October 7 to 9 in Vitoria-Gasteiz, Spain.
According to a press statement issued by the Public Sector Reform Secretariat and the OGP Ghana Office, the summit will bring together heads of state, senior government officials, civil society leaders, and global partners “to exchange experiences, share best practices, review progress on open governance reforms and the implementation of National Action Plans.”
Ghana’s delegation will be led by Lydia Lamisi Akanvariba (MP) and Minister of State in charge of Public Sector Reforms, alongside Nana Oye Bampoe Addo, Deputy Chief of Staff (Administration).
The team will also include Members of Parliament, key sector ministers, public officials, and representatives from civil society.
The joint delegation, the statement noted, reflects Ghana’s “unwavering commitment to the principles of Transparency, Accountability, Citizen’s Participation and Innovation in governance.”
It further reaffirmed government’s dedication to reforms that foster public trust and promote sustainable national development.
