Kofi Adams, Member of Parliament for Buem, has expressed both praise and concern over the way the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Dr. George Akuffo Dampare is handling the case of Francis Yaw Frimpong, popularly known as Pooley.
In an interview on Ghone TV, Mr. Adams acknowledged the IGP’s efforts, stating, “I’m impressed with the interest the IGP himself has shown in this matter.” However, he quickly added that interest alone is not enough.
“For me, it’s not enough until we get to the end,” he stressed. “This is a matter we are not going to leave to just end with statements and initial actions.”
The Pooley case has drawn national attention, with many calling for swift justice. While some citizens have applauded the IGP for taking charge, others believe that more concrete actions need to be taken.
Adams insists that the police must remain committed to the case and ensure that justice is served. “We need results, not just words,” he said firmly.
As the case unfolds, Ghanaians are watching closely to see if the IGP will follow through with his commitment or if the case will fade away like many others before it.
