In a stirring display of leadership rooted in service, Chief of Staff Hon. Julius Debrah continues to redefine public engagement and national wellness through his transformative initiative, Walk With Julius.

The latest edition of the walk attracted a powerful mix of Ghana’s leading sports journalists, policymakers, and public figures; underscoring a growing consensus that health is indeed national wealth.

This impactful event brought together media personalities, civil servants, sports icons, and everyday Ghanaians.

Together with the Chief of Staff, these prominent figures covered several kilometres in a symbolic and energized walk that blended fitness with advocacy, engagement, and unity.

“A strong nation begins with a healthy people. When we walk together, we not only build endurance; we build unity, we build awareness, and we build a better future,” Hon. Julius Debrah stated during the post-walk interaction.

Beyond promoting health, Hon. Julius Debrah has also played a pivotal role in advancing Ghana’s business diplomacy and youth empowerment agenda. From the Kwahu Business Summit to the Ghana–China Investment Forum and grassroots enterprise development programmes, he stands out as the only Chief of Staff in the Fourth Republic to blend policy, fitness, and entrepreneurship into a cohesive national development strategy.

The walk symbolised more than physical movement, it was a powerful demonstration of collective responsibility.

Hon. Julius Debrah called on all Ghanaians; young and old, public or private, corporate or creative; to embrace walking as a national discipline.

“Walking is one of the simplest yet most powerful acts we can adopt to protect our health and preserve our future,” he said.

Plans are underway for upcoming editions of Walk With Julius in Kumasi, Accra, Takoradi, Ho, and Tamale, with support from the sports media community and various civil society groups.

As Ghana’s health challenges grow more complex, Walk With Julius offers a simple yet powerful remedy: a nation that walks together grows stronger together.
