Let’s stay positive in 2025 and beyond – Dr. Ayew Afriyie to NPP youth

The Member of Parliament for Effiduase Asokore, Dr. Ayew Afriyie has encouraged the youth of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to remain positive about the party’s electoral prospects in the New Year 2025 and beyond.

Dr. Ayew Afriyie believes the NPP will bounce back stronger, urging the youth of the party not to despair in spite of the December 7, 2024 electoral defeat.

In a heartfelt message to the teeming youth of the party, the outspoken Legislator noted that though last year’s electoral defeat came as a shocker, it was time for the party, especially the youth wing to shake the dust off their feet and approach the coming years with renewed hope and commitment.

There are concerns about how the NPP will be able to revive its base following the embarrassing defeat suffered at the hands of its bitterest political rival the NDC in the December 7 polls.

But the Effiduase Asokore Member of Parliament says the year 2025 should signal a new dawn for the party, calling on all groups within the party to gird their loins for the battle ahead.

Noted for his lead role in sustaining the party’s grassroots advocacy as the lead founder of the once vibrant Alliance For Accountable Governance (AFAG) has declared his readiness to support the party’s grassroots resurgence even as “we prepare to offer constructive and credible opposition to the incoming NDC administration “

“This is not the time for us to lose hope; the NPP is a party with a strong foundation, we have been here before as a party and came out even stronger, we need to stay focused even as we begin the healing process to identify the cause of our failure and rebuild this party”, he said.
