Political Strategist, Professor Kobby Mensah says flag bearer John Mahama has made a better choice by choosing Professor Jane Opoku-Agyemang as his running mate for the 2024 election.
This comes on the back of the official outdooring of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) flag bearer, John Mahama’s running mate, Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang at the UPSA on Wednesday.
Speaking to Starr News, the Political Strategist explained that the former Minister of Education has improved as compare to what Ghanaians witnessed in the 2020 elections.
“I think that she was almost the same as in 2020 but she has changed clearly, the seriousness was that you could see a certain sense of urgency not only in her speech but also in her nonverbal. You could see the sense of justice through her words and her actions.
“I think it will really energize the base, it gives a certain sense of hope and purpose and a clear sense of unity with the party. So certainly it is going to drive the party’s base that they will have a certain belief that they can win this election and go out there and campaign for the party. Her choice was the best that the former President could make,” Professor Kobby Mensah stated.
He continued: “She is a very stable person, she is a very focused person very articulate, to say the least, and of course very professional with service. So you could feel that all these were actually coming into play. So certainly yes the former President couldn’t have actually made any better choice than that.”
