President John Dramani Mahama has highlighted the strong diplomatic alignment between Ghana and South Korea, particularly in international settings such as the United Nations.
Speaking during bilateral talks with the South Korean President on Wednesday, March 1, Mahama pointed out the consistency in positions taken by both countries on global issues.
“Ghana and Korea often find themselves taking similar positions on many issues at the United Nations and other international forums,” he said.

The President explained that this partnership is grounded in shared values, including respect for democracy, human rights, and a long history of cooperative engagement in multilateral affairs.
He added that these common principles strengthen ties between the two nations, transcending geographic distance.
On the domestic front, Mahama also provided an update on Ghana’s fiscal recovery.

He noted that inflation is declining, the national currency has strengthened, and the country continues to meet its debt obligations, creating a favorable environment for renewed economic growth and investor confidence.
