A man, Emmanuel Yeboah, has been remanded in police custody following an alleged attack that left two people seriously injured in the Bono Region.
The Berekum Circuit Court, presided over by His Honour Mr. Osei Kofi Amoako, took the decision on Wednesday, January 7, 2026. Yeboah was arrested on January 3 by the Bono Regional Police Command after the victims—his brother and his brother’s wife—sustained multiple injuries in an ambush.
Police investigations indicate that the attack occurred as the victims were traveling to a disputed cashew farm, with tensions believed to have arisen from a long-standing ownership disagreement.
A cutlass used during the attack was recovered by authorities.
The injured individuals are currently receiving medical treatment at a local health facility. Emmanuel Yeboah is expected to return to court on **January 12, 2026**, as proceedings continue.
The Bono Regional Police Command has assured the public that investigations into the incident are ongoing.
